On Creating Comics

"I've been writing comics for the last 20 years, and I'm always amazed at how the medium affects me. There's nothing that can't be done in comics, and done well, as long as there is a commitment to making it the best you can. Although I'm known primarily as a horror writer, I've also written drama, science fiction, action/adventure, etc. I also believe in the studio environment, where like-minded folks can share ideas and support each other in a medium that doesn't always reward one's efforts, either in sales or fame. Although many people have suggested that I write films or novels, I still believe in the power of the graphic narrative. Where else can you create (or blow up) whole worlds without a million dollar budget? I'm always looking for collaborators who are willing to work as hard as I do to tell a story that resonates with the readers, that makes them feel... something"
